Beyond the Labyrinth

Beyond the labyrinth
The skies bleed a crimson hue Forged by man, trying to escape But if we heed the creature's view Perhaps we too can dodge fate Never the less it is a dauntful task To take and break what is left And if we stain the porcelain mask Then we fall to one last breath

Beyond the labyrinth one can find A world made from the child's mind Surreal and vivid as one can be A place to be set free An escape from the eclectic wonder Of a world being torn asunder But in the end is it worth The cost of one's own rebirth A gentle and unassuming warmth There beyond the labyrinth

At the world's end we can find The place to shelter our sanity A time of reckoning coming nigh To purge ourselves of selfless vanity Cold hard steel is our judge To fend off the evils of mankind But in the end we're left but with a grudge For we left innocence far behind

The blood of a child Of innocence entwined Shall free us of our own malign She shall fall from grace A child's place So that we may save face And in the end When we win She shall rise up and defend For a child's innocence Is the brilliance Of our own significance And beyond the labyrinth We shall find Her kind
